07 Rome's Legions
This was
an elite legion in Albert's force, leading the way around the village.
Foundry and Copplestone figures.
Again
Dragon Studios (DPS) did the first coat and I re-touched and added
some others.
Plus
the big plumed Copplestone Centurions are fun to paint, so I painted
all those.
My mixed
bag of legions. Wargames Factory plastic raw recruits (left) with
Warlord EIR plastic legion on the right.
In back
auxiliaries and an old Old Glory unit of raw recruits.
This
Warlord plastic legion has the more modern armor styled for AD69,
whereas most of my legions must use the
old lorica
hamata mail armor. These Warlord figures are quite small
compared to large 28's of today.
They
hang with the old Foundry ones in size, but not in detail.
Rich's
legions keep on coming with his Veterans leading the way. His legions
were going to smash mine frontally,
so I
needed to get up on that hill to
outflank him.
