Heine Baekkelund

I was saddened and shocked to hear of Heine Baekkelund's untimely and much too early passing recently. He and I had been corresponding via the internet based on our mutual hobbies.  We had never met in person, and never would have, except for our interests and the internet.  The amazing thing about the internet is how people can be unified by our hobbies even when language, distance, and borders separate us.  Heine always kept me laughing, he was always willing to help, and his correspondance was always looked forward to, whether we were debating US "interventions" or discussing his excellent work on the Warhammer Byzantine armies supplement. I am sorry he is no longer with us.  Below is a typical type of letter I received from Heine it kind of shows fervent Heine was about the game.. striving to make it better.. I wish we could have gamed together.

Jeff,

Hope all is well with you and yours. I am writing because I am getting more than fed up with facing AoA Macedonian Successor levy phalanxmen
at 5 pts a pop. One of my local players has taken a fancy at those pesky, cheap little suckers, and I just canīt seem to convince him that
they are cheesy. Is there any chance I could sneak a peak at your Successor list(s)? I promise to give you plenty of feedback.

Cheers,

Heine
