Illyrians: Macedon's border enemies
The joy of conversions. This trumpeter is a RAFM figure with a Ral Partha Illyrian head, and the shield carved off.
This shows how simple and effective converisons can be to add variety.
Older ranges often don't have alot of poses so simple bending will do in some cases. Unfortunately the Ral Partha Illyrians are a bit stiff. Adding in a RAFM or two does break that up a bit.
There is another Ral Partha pose that I wanted add someday.. that one has an Illyrian helmet, not the archaic Negau style here.
25mm Ral Partha and RAFM Illyrians.
